Detailed 3-day itinerary for Udaipur-Kumbalgarh Trip, including popular sites to visit & Transfers

Day 1: Beautiful Garden, Leisure, and Local Flavors

Reach Udaipur by 10 A.M. and check-in to the hotel by 12 P.M. Udaipur is well connected by air, train, and road. You can take a flight to Maharana Pratap Airport or a train to Udaipur Railway Station.

Afternoon

  • Visit Saheliyon Ki Bari, a beautiful garden built for the royal ladies. The garden has fountains & lotus pools which provides a peaceful escape from the city. 

Evening

  • Head for Fateh Sagar Lake. Enjoy a serene stroll by the lake. Can try Local Street food at the Market by the lake. After spending some time at lake have dinner and & call it a day.

Day 2​: Exploring the Real Heritage of City 

Morning

  • Start your day with a visit to the City Palace, one of the largest royal palaces in Rajasthan. It is a majestic palace showcasing museums and courtyards. The architecture is a mix of Rajasthani, Mughal, and European styles. You can explore the various courtyards, museums, and rooms that offer magnificent views of Lake Pichola.

Afternoon

  • After exploring City Palace, head for Jag Mandir, A historic island palace located on Lake Pichola. It will be done on a peaceful boat ride. The boat ride gives you a stunning view of the Lake Palace and Jag Mandir. 

  • After Jagmandir, head for Bagore Ki Haveli Museum near Gangaur Ghat. It showcases Rajasthan’s culture and history.

Evening

  • End the day with a trip to the Sajjangarh Palace (also known as the Monsoon Palace). Located on a hilltop, this palace offers panoramic views of the city, lakes, and surrounding countryside. It's an ideal spot for a stunning sunset.

Day 3: Udaipur to Kumbhalgarh (85 km / 2.5 hours)

Morning

  • After breakfast, leave for Haldighati. Haldighati is a popular tourist destination and is known for its scenic beauty, with the lush green Aravalli Hills, waterfalls, and the Chetak Samadhi, a memorial to Maharana Pratap’s horse.

Afternoon 

  • Arrive at Kumbalgarh. The Kumbhalgarh fort is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, famous for its massive walls, some of which are the second-longest in the world after the Great Wall of China. Explore the fort, temples, and enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding Aravalli hills. 

  • After your visit, head back to Udaipur for your return journey. With this the beautiful journey of Udaipur comes to a closure. Good Luck!
